Laynie is becoming Miss Independent (for the most part). She's a speedy crawler and cruiser now! She also likes to walk when she holds your hand. She only has to hold one hand, then she's good to go. She has also stood by herself for a few seconds and has taken two steps before falling. She's putting everything in her mouth, so you really have to watch her. She likes to dump the dog's water bowl over lol! Poor Rylee was watching her in the morning last week, and Laynie dumped the entire bowl of water over...Rylee came in to clean it up...and did a perfect butt plant on the kitchen floor...ouch!
She's starting to feed herself independently. So far she's been good about rice, puffs, eggs, bananas ...
She's been clapping her hands, and she'll give you high fives. (I don't think she knows she's doing that, but it's fun.) She'll sit and play independently for a while, but she's still clingy to "mamama." I could have sworn yesterday that she said "Up" when she lifted her hands to be held...lol! She does this breathing laugh and makes a funny scrunched up face. We call it her football face.
She's been going to White Water and doing really well there. We also put in the pool liner yesterday, so she got to sit at the bottom with Daddy and splash in the shallow water. Uncle Jimmy and Grandpa came over to help...so our pool looks great! Aunt Karen and Grandma came over too. She has a cute personality, and it's really starting to come out. Lastly, she loves the dog (Penni). When she sees Penni, she just laughs out loud. It's so funny!
She got to celebrate her first Father's Day! She helped Hailee make Daddy breakfast in bed, and Daddy got to read all of his funny cards. Then we got to go see grandpa and swim some more. Here's Laynie's and Hailee's pictures for Daddy.
