She is also Princess Laynie or she's a super hero that will "fly to the moon." She also will come "rescue you." She loves to swim in her puddle jumper. She still does not like water on her eyes. About two she decided she liked baths... bubbles and rubber ducks helped that. About 2-1/2 she let me brush her teeth without a fight. She still holds her handover her mouth and clamps down on the toothbrush.
She loves to play in the sand and water. She prefers being outside to inside... no matter how hot it is. We went to Emerald Isle, NC, and I couldn't keep her out of the water. She has a trampoline in the back yard and rarely a day goes by that she doesn't jump on it. About May she really started wanted to interact and play with other kids. Now she asks for Austin and her sissies all the time. We are still struggling with potty training. She has a stubborn streak.
Two has been good. She is very creative and has been since around one. She still loves her babies and little dolls...oh and animals. It's cute to see her make the dolls interact. She had two different race babies hold hands. She said they're friends. She acts out daddy being tired and sleeping lol! She also had the bald baby "daddy" let the blonde baby climb on his back to get on "top." This is also like real life. As soon as she sees Brandon, she yells, "On top, Daddy!" And he puts her on his shoulders and runs around the room.
My mom has watched her a couple of days a week and loves her Laynie time. Ms. Gina sees Laynie on Wednesday mornings to work with Laynie's sensory issues. According to Ms. Gina, Laynie is extremely creative and adaptable. She's also an incredible problem solver. She predicts that we will have a hard time keeping her challenged. Laynie loves puzzles and as well as her babies. She's not as interested being read to for more than a few minutes. She can count to 14 and count things, and she knows her shapes really well. We are still working on colors and letters. She's saying about 4 word sentences and talks like Yoda a lot haha. She recognizes emothions like happy and sad. She'll say ,"You happy!" "I'm happy!" If you act like you're crying she'll say, "You sad." And she may start crying.
If she thinks you're being bad or you make her mad she'll call you "Sneaky Pete" from Mickey Mouse Playhouse, or a "scruffy dog." She will also say you're "naughty." Her favorite shows are Octonauts and "Mouse" Mickey Mouse Playhouse. She also likes Princess Sofia and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. She will also watch PBS kids. She likes to watch Doc McStuffins and pretend she is a doctor. She likes to "check you out." Oh and music! Ever since she could crawl up a chair to turn on the kepboard she has made music. She plays her Dora guitar and then wants Brandon and me to dance. She likes to "make music" on the recorder too. She loves to dance and have us dance with her. She is such a joy!
