Pulling Up

Two days ago Laynie pulled herself up and stood up in her crib. She almost has crawling down. She gets on her hands and knees like a pro. Then she makes her body like a tepee and scoots forward. It's funny to watch. Then she just rolls over to where she wants to go.

Laynie Eats Peas

Laynie is 7 Months

Laynie is 7 months old and is developing her personality.

She's trying really hard to crawl, and she almost has it!  She scoots and rolls where she wants to go.  We have to keep things picked off the floor or she'll find it.  If you hold her fingers, she tries to walk.  She's eating baby food now...meats, veggies, fruit, cereal and oatmeal.  She's also drinking water from a sippie cup.  She loves water!  She's out of her baby bath tub and taking real baths...which she loves!  I can't wait for summer time and the pool!  It's so fun to hear her say Mamamamama  lol!  She has some separation issues, but she's doing better now.

     She had her first out of state visit to Colorado during Spring Break.  We visited Aunt Karen and Uncle Jimmy.  Grandma and Grandpa met us there.  Hailee didn't go with us; she was a no-show on the Friday night pick up. But anyway...we had so much fun!  Maycie skied for the first time, and Rylee was zipping down the mountain like a pro.  She even beat Brandon when they raced.  I was like a granny and little 3 year olds were beating me.  Afterwards, we drove up to the Continental Divide.

     We also visited the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs.  Gorgeous!  Clear blue sky and awesome rock formations, with Pike's Peak in the background.  The girls climbed rocks, and Laynie tried too  haha.  Laynie did great on the trip!  She even let Grandpa and Grandma watch her while we skied all day.
